Hira (Instagram: @mehndiartist_hira) is an online henna artist. She has created a range of beautiful and inspiring designs. In her tutorials, she teaches viewers how to replicate her designs through a simple, step-by-step process.
We have posted the full video at the last of these steps so make sure to watch that. The following tutorial showcases Hira’s jewellery-inspired design:
On the index finger, create a series of delicate, horizontal lines, one upon another.
At one end of the finger, draw a half-flower as shown in the clip.
Repeat step 2 on the other end of the finger, the half-flower facing the opposite direction.
Draw a flower in the space between the two half-flowers, the pattern resembling a triangular pattern.
Draw a series of lines protruding from each petal of the topmost flower and running in the opposite direction.
Crisscross each of those lines as shown in the clip.
Add a line on top and finish by drawing a flower to top off the design.
Repeat step 1 for the other three fingers.
For each of the three fingers, draw a full flower on top of the lines.
Starting from the bottom line of the index finger, draw three lines, each connecting the index finger with the other three. Make sure to keep the lines straight and smooth.
Draw dots along all three lines to create an impression of strung beads.
Draw dots on the base line of each finger.
